History / Development of Hartmann & König AG
The company Hartmann & König Stromzuführungs AG was founded in 1945. Products outside of the current sector were manufactured at first. However, manufacturing has exclusively focused on cable reeling drums, slip ring units and their accessories since 1958.
Our medium-sized company is still a family business; even in its current form as an AG (public limited company). The 3rd generation now manages the company. The benefits of flexibility, fast decision-making processes and clear structures continue to be provided and represent a decisive advantage. After the company was founded by Mr. Hartmann and Mr. König, production was first successively carried out at two locations in Graben. The relocation to Neudorf was completed in 1999 where there is a modern management and production building with a production area covering more than 4200 m2. There is ample space for expansion at the current site. A high level of manufacturing penetration is achieved with the help of state-of-the-art machines and qualified personnel. A strong development and engineering department is maintained as well as an apprentice training workshop, which helps suitable trainees to acquire the necessary skills and qualifications.The maintenance of working and environmental conditions as well as production in accordance with national and international specifications is carried out as standard. We obtained DIN ISO certification in 1997 which currently corresponds with 9001/2008. Process-orientated production is carried out, all the manufacturing steps are traceable and all departments are appropriately involved. This guarantees maximum quality and fulfils customer requirements. An emphasis is placed on both the production of batch parts and the development of solutions specific to the customer. Our customer base covers a range of well-known major customers as well as many small and medium-sized companies.
